Trained for the day that doesn't go to plan

In Krislyn's own words: she is CPR / First Aid / AED / Infant Specialty certified, and she carries a LifeVac and a first aid kit in her car or nanny bag at all times.

Alongside the everyday care, she has skills in special-needs care, speech development and Montessori methods — and she leads children's ministry in a Montessori style once a month.

She is also no longer a one-woman operation: two team members have joined the Krislyn's Kiddos and Furry Friends team, which means more open availability for families on the waiting list.

Krislyn is a Robertson County native and a Chamber Ambassador for the White House Area Chamber of Commerce.

Back-to-school retreat

Ten girls, eight of them sponsored

She hosted a Back-to-School Girls' Retreat at RobCo Retreat the weekend before school started. Ten local girls came; community members sponsored eight of their places outright.

The Chamber credits her with gathering auction items, setting up, and running the Wine Pull at its Chairman's Celebration — one of the reasons it named her Member of the Day.

In the schools

Talking to classrooms about small business

She has presented to classrooms in her county about running a small business, and taken Furry Friends to a vendor event at Greenbrier Elementary School.
